1-day movement / 1-day mechanical clockwork
Mechanical Clockwork that is wound up once a day by pulling a chain.

8-day movement / 1-day mechanical clockwork
Mechanical Clockwork that is wound up once a week by pulling a chain.

Moving or turning figures:
When the cuckoo calls or the music plays, different figures on the clock move around (dance figurines, woodchopper, water wheel ….).

Manual Shut-off
Cuckoo call and music is turned off manually using a switch on the clock. The clock itself continues.

Chime on the Hour
Chime sounds once at the full hour.

Cuckoo Call on the Hour
Cuckoo clock calls the number amount of the Hour (three times at 3:00 o'clock).

Cuckoo Call on the Hour and Half-hour
Cuckoo clock calls one time on the Half-Hour, and  the number amount of the Hour on the hour  (three times at 3:00 o'clock).

Half-hour Chime
The clock chimes once at the half-hour and chimes the number of the hour on the hour.

Music
The mechanical clocks play two rotating melodies.
Most 7-day cuckoo clock movements play melody only on the hour after the cuckoo call.
The 1-day cuckoo clock movements play rotating melodies every half-hour after the cuckoo call.

Quartz Movement
Battery-operated clockwork movement.

Spiral Gong Chime
A hammer strikes the spiral gong to produce a chime once at the half-hour, and strikes the spiral gong for the amount of the Hour on the hour (three times at 3:00 oclock).
